I would happliy pay to see this if it promised Cage punching a woman while dressed as a bear. That, plus the bees, is about the only thing I know of his version of The Wicker Man (the original is my personal favourite as well - director's cut of course).
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

This, except it would have to be Cage being sodomized by a bear while dressed as a woman.
Or something.

I've never seen Left Behind but I might consider it. After all, even though its just a movie, it would be fun to pretend that this planet lost a billion assholes in the twinkling of an eye.

A double misser.
Left Behind bullshit - always worth missing, and I can't stand Cage.
Woot.

Perhaps Cage's involvement in this latest farce will prove so bad that even Bible-thumpers throw up in their mouths when they see it.
There was more wrong with that movie than just Cage's involvement, but that was a good place to start.

Really, Nicholas Cage was the sole redeeming quality in the Wicker Man remake. His ridiculous acting made what would have been a torturous remake of a great film into the so bad it's good hit of 2006.
On to the film, really, the Left Behind series of books is one of the worst series of books I've ever read; And, seriously, even the Cloud Ten films were a noticeable improvement on the book series. Granted, I doubt it'll be the great art LaHaye and Jenkins see it as, but, from what I can tell, I can see no way this film won't end up as hilarious.
Also, if you're interested in seeing Left Behind, but can't be bothered to see the whole thing, watch a review by Northern Ireland's favourite lesbian supervillian/dictator/film critic, Diamanda Hagan:

I actually found it to be a "good bad movie", ala the do-it-yourself-MST3K variety where you watch it with some friends and everyone has fun heckling it through the whole thing.

Slacktivist has been working on a blog deconstructing the series and its horrible convergence of religion, politics, and creative writing in depth.
And the only reason I don't say it's the worst novel I've ever read is because I've read this (work not safe for work or mental health).
