In what way is it just that non believers go to hell?

Disbelief, if you're following the dogma, is separation from good.

A non religious view would be that a self harmer deserves his own suffering.

If bad people didn't suffer, then justice wouldn't be served. If your aim is to do good, then you're on Gods side.

Suffering while being alive on earth but not after they die?

As a person who believes in hell I find the Christian notion of hell disturbing. Seems that it is the result of a psychotic and unfair father who has substance abuse issues. A just god is to measure the failing of everyone and in all honesty if we are to compare morality to something that has no concept of morality the only sin we have made is being anything else but a god. So in this concept everyone deserves the hellfire

And how is disbelief separation from good?

If God is good (what Christians believe) then opposing God is opposing good.

Except that we have pretty good evidence that God is not good. And ZERO evidence that God is good.

And how is lacking a belief in a God opposing it?

Your evidence is based on misunderstanding. Mostly deliberate.

It isn't.
