My complaint with this logic shit is that no one ever insists that the premises be factual.

If someone claims God "x" they better be damned well ready to prove that 'god' exists.

They always want to skip that point.

i remember telling this person that but yes they do in fact dodge the question

it isn't in our nature to think of a God, it is in our nature to seek answers and the concept of God is most influenced in this world.

Nothing wrong with a little hostility when confronted with stupidity.

I'm fond of telling people the KCA (the most commonly used ontological argument) was designed to show Allah exists, not Yaweh.

They often insist the God it refers to doesn't matter, as it is "proof" of God's existence: and they already know they're worshipping the right one, so...

Faith is always necessary but it can be built on faith in other premises that point towards God. For example if you reflect on greatness and morality and you deem it to need an eternal objective source as it's basis, then this premise may lead you to faith in God but you would also need faith in those premises along side with the faith in morality and greatness. Also, if you know a certain thing needs to have been designed by a cosmic designer, this would lead you to conclude in a cosmic designer. While that doesn't prove it's worthy of worship, perhaps reflection over the nature of life would make you believe that the Creator has attributes making it worthy of worship.

It's just flat out impossible. Plain and simple. Disregarding beliefs, people will sometimes interpret evidence however they see fit.

You can "deem" anything you like but as far as I am concerned without concrete evidence it is simply bullshit.

And "faith" be "deemed."
