How did god create the universe?

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. 
In the beginning was the WORD and the word was God.
By Him were all things made. And the Word became flesh. So, God made the world with words of power. Makes more sense to me than, "all this came from nothing that exploded". We OBSERVE that life comes from life. Hint- God is the living God.  RE: How did god create the universe?

The idea that the universe began as a singularity which underwent expansion is absolutely ridiculous when set next to the idea that an invisible monster from outside time and space and with severe psychological issues magicked everything into existence with a few words.
