I think you've been told this, but oh well, I couldn't read the whole thread, as it would grow beyond my reading speed! 
Atheists do not choose hell.
Atheists do not believe that any god exists.
Under this lack of assumption of the existence of any god is also the lack of assumption that your version of god exists... and with it, the hell that it allegedly created... nor any other afterlife realm from any other mythology.
If you have any knowledge about this god and hell and afterlife, please bring it forward.... if it's the same old book, then don't bother.
