How do you feel when people say, "I'm colorblind!" To mean, "I'm not racist!" ? Isn't that some ableist identity-erasing bullshit?

I have hydrocephalus. It's an excess of spinal fluid on the brain. It wasn't treated when it should it have been, so the fluids crushed the nerves in my eyes.

It's really annoying. I'm not sure how they think it's the same thing. Or they close their eyes and walk around for a while and just look dumb. Sigh. I never know how to respond to that.
