I think you mean that, because they had no evidence for their beliefs, nothing testable or falsifiable and hence couldn't publish their ridiculous fantasies in mainstream publications, they split off and made up their own journal in a transparent attempt to paint a veneer of respectability over the things that they still have no evidence for, nor interest in performing tests. Because I looked it up, you know.

Do you have any idea what the people says to do to people that leave the religion? Well the first the old testament tells us that you should burn down the whole fucking town if someone is a atheist in another town, it says that if your ducking mother or wife deconverts you should stone them to death, First up Stephen Taylor has a Ph.D in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING. Yeah, that makes him qualified to be an authority on the fact of evolution or cosmology. Now, I've been moderately polite with you until now, Rev. But the gloves are coming off. I have REPEATEDLY stated that just because some "scientists" go against the majority doesn't make them right. It doesn't matter of 1000 or 10,000 believe in creationism or oppose evolution. Appeals to authority don't fucking matter, especially when that authority is in the fucking minority. Now, please give the sciences that those scientists are in. The last time creationists tried this bullshit the majority of those they cited had their degrees in theology or fields that had nothing to do with evolutionary biology. Some had been misquoted and others hadn't participated in the survey at all. The response, from the National Center for Science Education was Project Steve. I've mentioned this project before, Rev. Did you even have the honesty to look it up? No, I didn't think so. You guys like to divert from the issue set forth in several ways: I've given you links to Christian based sources on Old Earth Ministries. Atheists are going to dismiss the Bible but Old Earth Ministries doesn't so some of the articles there include theology. (May 6, 2014 at 11:53 pm)Revelation777 Wrote: Please be respectful of my beliefs even if you disagree with them. It's not a case of what you believe so much as how you're presenting so-called evidence for your beliefs. I don't agree with the beliefs of Greg Neyman who runs Old Earth Ministries but I do respect his attitude. Evolution -The Bible Taught It First Quote:As a progressive creationist, I do not believe in evolution. However, it is a valid belief system, and Theistic Evolutionists are free to believe it if they choose. After all, it may be the correct theory, and we cannot be dogmatic in our condemnation of it. The article is about how Genesis can be interpreted to support the idea that evolution is the way God did it. This is very different to insisting that religious scientists have to go along with evolution otherwise they'll be ostracised by the scientific community. Where are the snake and mushroom smilies?

If it seems that god is not active, Peter warns us that he's just "patient." If you are stumped by information and evidence that contradict what you believe, it's just the "wisdom of the world" which can't stand up to god's... mysteriousness, I guess, since Paul doesn't explain just why god chose the weak and foolish to "shame" the mighty and wise. But it's enough to get you to dismiss anything that might make you doubt. To the extent that you refuse to respond to the charge that the quote you built your case upon is blatantly out-of-context and dishonest.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

So are you just done with even the pretense of taking this seriously, Rev?

The amusing thing is that Rev's choice of emoticon serves to buttress Tonus' argument.
