What about the Michael Behe types? I suspect they understand it and still refuse to accept the evidence.

Shit, this thread has worked out better than I expected.
RDK seems to know so little about evolution that his lack of knowledge forms an information vacuum, sucking you all into a conversation about abiogenesis that you don't actually need to have. He's off floating, talking about something else, now. You could at least shame him for that.

Guilty as charged.
In my defence, I've encountered so many creationists who equate everything from the big bang and cosmology to abiogenesis with evolution that my mind just automatically skips over the stupid - well, most of it.

It does make me said when I see someone so inept at thinking. I was always taught by my parents and my teachers never to take anything for granted.
RDK scoffs, claiming that we closed to the opposing point of view. What he fails to understand is that his 'opposing view' has been considered, and rejected, at least until evidence comes to light that indicates that it is correct.
Of course, RDK himself just rambles on about nonsense that doesn't mean anything to anyone, probably not even creationists.
Mods, have you checked to see if he's an Enrico clone? He certainly behaves like one

He's clean, he's just stupid.

Seems like a ubiquitous facet of a lot of these guys eh?
What a world to live in, when nothing more than argument from ignorance is enough to get you through the daily grind.

From various Behe statements, I really think he does not understand it.

If he's clean, why do I feel unclean reading his shit?

As far as I'm aware there really is only one creationist who actually understands evolution. Got a Harvard degree, but cut up a bible figuring out how much he'd have to dismiss if evolution were true and went with creationism. Can't remember his name though...

You may be thinking of Kurt Wise, but he's a geologist.

That'd be Kurt Wise.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
