Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright; in the Bible no concept of a second coming exists.

Hold on there, Sparky. Some Jews, attempting to reconcile various messianic passages, came up with two messiahs: ben Joseph, the suffering messiah; and ben David, the messiah who was to do most of the stuff you listed. They come up with two messiahs, one advent each. Christianity has one messiah, two advents. It's not so different as they would have you think.

One of my first instances of questioning Jesus divinity occurred when I read about him withering the fig tree.

His touch and desire for a fresh fig should have been more than sufficient to have resulted in the mutha of all fig trees.
