Christmas

I haven't been an atheist at Christmas time yet. I imagine not much will change. I'll still chill with my family and eat food and stuff.

Maybe I'll get to rage just a bit harder at the "War on Christmas" facebook posts...and I'll be more inclined to say "happy holidays" to non-family members.

Because of a move, last Christmas ended a streak at five years of me playing Santa Claus in the neighborhood. Decorated trailer pulled around the neighborhood so I could pass out candy. I loved the innocent excitement of the little believers and the interaction with the older kids that weren't too cool to walk out and get some candy.

The assholes that put up the 'Jesus is the reason for the season' billboards in their yards would likely have had a stroke if they knew they ate Christmas candy from an atheist Santa.
