Really? The quran uses the word universe?

The word heavens is used, and god says in the quran that the rains come from the heavens, he also says god makes the heavens and the earth.

It doesn't really fit in.

Would god say the rain comes from the universe? Or that he made the earth and the universe?

I predict by the year 2500 Muslims will have slipped so many alternative words into the quran it will actually look like a modern scientific document when read in English.
