No. Like Laplace, I have no need for that hypothesis.

No, they're not. Even though it is not possible to conclusively disprove the existence of an intelligent first cause to the universe, even the most superficial examination of Christianity shows it to be a rambling, self contradictory load of facile, feel good bollocks. If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
As it turns out, there is a specific answer to the question raised in the opening post.
It turns out for about 4 months in 1973, the Bickertonites, a reconstitution of the Rigdonites (a defunct splinter group from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as it was prior to the split with the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) was, in fact, THE ONE TRUE CHURCH. Unfortunately, after those GLORIOUS (PRAISE GOD!!) 4 months, they updated their hymnal, and consequently committed a grave, irredeemable, blasphemous and abominable heresy, and from then on, the Bickertonites and all other Christians (before and after) have all been deemed by God Almighty to be DAMNED. (And of course, the 2 thieves crucified with Jesus, and converted by him while all three were on their crosses are also in heaven too, because Jesus said so, but that's it, 4 human beings have made it to heaven and there won't be anymore, at least until the Bickertonites go back to their old non-blasphemous hymnal) During the 4 months during which the Bickertonites were the ONE TRUE FAITH, they had 3 members pass on. 2 made it to HEAVEN, but an infant had been improperly baptized, and then died of pneumonia, and was judged to be DAMNED because of the defective baptism. So, as far as the thread starter is concerned, there were some Christians who were correct, briefly, but their perfect church did not persist, and there is no possibility of Salvation anymore.
Naw, I never think about literal, fundi-variety gods. The world is too good a place for that to be true.
The better theists may very well be right but that would in no way undermine my non-belief. RE: Do you ever wonder if the christians are right?

Um, no. No, I can't say I wonder that. I would then have to start worrying that every other religion on earth might have some merit... and if the Christian deity DID exist I would announce to him that's he's one hell of a sicko for having put his own son on a cross. Seriously, even if their god was real I would flip him the finger and accept damnation. Christians worship a sadist god.
The gods offer no rewards for intellect. There was never one yet that showed any interest in it.

No I don't wonder at all, its just a silly concept and nothing more.
I wonder every now and again if there's a god.
Buy my god sure as hell isn't that monster they speak about more of a supernatural unconsciousness and obviously without predeterminism or morality. I wouldn't mind seeing that when I die. But even then, that is just severe wishful thinking bullshit ... who the fuck am I kidding!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
No, their completely wrong.
As others have pointed out, Christianity isn't the only religion. It's not the only one which teaches what happens after death, either.
