Picking Your Brain...

Picking Your Brain...
Just a little break from the other treads. Not to stereotype but you atheists are brilliant and intelligent in once sense but seemingly blinded, ignorant, and clueless to God's Truth. Nevertheless, I have a question to ask that has more to do with Science and Nature than anything else...

If a person, let's say lived in Antarctica, and never ever had contact with another human being, would it be possible for he/she to ever contract a cold?

Nice break from the other 'treads.'

We're all ignorant. Go fuck yourself, Rev.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Matey, I have man up and admit that you are correct.
"We ARE cluless about god."
We've looked everywhere for 2000 years and found nothing! Not even a clue of his existence!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

God's truth is about as relevant as god him/herself.

You do realize that people live in Antarctica right?

God's truth, without a demonstration that god actually exists, may be that he's not real. Given your failure in demonstrating him, Rev, perhaps we atheists are the ones in possession of god's truth. Dodgy

As to your question, it depends on if the flu virus is transmissible via anything other than human contact. If this is so, it's entirely possible to contract it without seeing another person.

This tread was not intended to discussion belief in God or not.

Perhaps next time it would be better for you not to begin your thread by impugning the intelligence of the people you're talking to? Your first paragraph did rather paint a target.

Quite the charmer you are.

As for your question, perhaps you should do some fieldwork?

I'm pretty sure March of the Penguins showed at least one penquin sneeze. So there would be some risk even with out other people there.
