I don't care if anyone's a Feminist, but it's so pretentious that I hear them going around labeling people Feminists who don't want the label. First of all, I think Feminism is superfluous to Egalitarianism, but second of all, why can't we just agree for equal rights without putting one gender on a pedestal. What pisses me off the most about New Feminists is that the ones I've read from don't really care to spread 1st wave Feminism where it's actually needed in real Patriarchal societies and 3rd world countries. It always really bugged me when I talked to New Feminists in America talking about how much society is keeping women down. When I see American society, I see a society that values women more than men in a lot of ways, not all ways but certainly in lots of ways.
Women can still avoid the draft in America (I think). Or look at any sitcom, the woman is smart, witty, funny and the guy is always a dipshit who's lucky to have her in his life. Or in a divorce, the women are heavily favored these days with settlements. Or look how male rape is portrayed as a joke or to be ridiculed at if he does a crime but if a female rape is mentioned it's awful, or that they don't admit that Women also rape men. Or the mentality of not harming the women and children, Or not hitting women, but if women hit men it's perfectly acceptable if not entertaining for people watching. Or in child custody, which usually always favor the woman unless she's smoking crack. I think what we have going in America right now is the Neo-Feminist movement.
Even if you're an Egalitarian like myself who advocates all peoples rights; women, men, transgenders etc. the Neo-Feminists call me as a misogynist and terrible person if I don't take the Feminist label or don't agree there's a huge gender gap in America.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

This is why I refuse to take the label feminist. It's not because I'm not a feminist, but more because I hate the stereotypes that come with the word. Why should it even be called feminism instead of humanism? I prefer to be against all social injustices.
