No ambiguity. It's well known that Yahweh is one of the old Hebrew pantheon (the god of war, I understand) from back when their religion was polytheistic. Consequently, we can extrapolate that the collection of Old Testament stories are most likely from that old oral tradition, re-told to fit the cultural changes of the time and probably also the political & social ambitions of the ruling bodies.

Baha'i are also, apparently, appropriative little fuckers as well.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, the Bahai believe in "all paths to God," they're pluralists where all religions are equally valid.

The inclusivists say "Well, Jesus is the only way to salvation by repenting to God... But you don't have to know about Jesus, as long as you accept the one true God and repent: surprise! You're secretly Christian!"

Judaism, like BenDavis mentioned, is only recently monotheistic. Know how there's a passage in Genesis commanding not to worship other Gods?

It's because originally, they accepted there were many different Gods, and they were the chosen people--by their specific tribal God, just as other tribes were "the chosen people" of their Gods.

No. They believe that all gods are just a form or incomplete understanding -of their god-.

But it does sound nicer when you say it another way, granted.

I may be misrepresenting it, thanks for the correction.

This is why people who may have little to no historical knowledge of other religions, and too much of their own doctrine are annoying.

There's a clear linear progression from historical Judaism to Christianity, and Christianity clearly absorbs whatever they see as part of their doctrine.

To have someone say "well clearly, this is just later divine revelation, to one small region a few thousand years ago. Ignore what we know historically happened; the bible is the only history you need!"

Aww, poor guy. I'm misrepresenting what he's saying:

Begins with "Wow, way to misrepresent my words"[Image: y5u5ygu5.jpg]

So, as you can see: He's not evading questions, as he's already given partial answers

and thinks answering the question would be a waste of time, because I'm getting off topic, unlike the other posts that address the topic, such as:

And it has nothing to do with him refusing to answer.
