You mean how I had to constantly do the same for you? Must be annoying having to be the one babysitting this time around.

The logical fallacy is killing in the name of atheism when you try and apply the same to Christians. I don't even need to go further than that because you have already gotten yourself stuck in the mud on that fallacy alone. It's people like you who say stupid shit and then try and drag other atheists down with you.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

What would it really mean to say atheists ruled the world? Wouldn't that just mean people who did not believe in god? So long as your right to worship as you see fit was protected, why should you care? I can't think of a single thing I could count on as a result of atheists being in power, other than they won't be pushing any Christian agenda.

I dont recall that happening, could it be that you are lying?

Firstly, that isn't a logical fallacy. You don't know what a logical fallacy is. Secondly I have no idea what you are talking about. I didn't say anything about what you said, and the sentance doesn't even make sense. When I try to apply the same to christians? What am i trying to apply.

And it's people like you who are to proud to admit when they have made a mistake and so attack the person who points it out. Are you going to address the rest of the post, or am I going to have to quote it again to get you to answer?

By your logic, atheists evade every Christian that makes a point they don't even notice. Your insult towards Vulcan sensibility has been noted.

If we said we didn't notice it because it 'didn't pass muster', that would indeed be an evasion. you can't determine whether something passes muster unless you notice it first.

Speaking of fallacies, the one you're committing is 'apples to oranges'. No one kills in the name of atheism. No one kills in the name of theism. Both are opinions on one topic and don't contain the ideological wherewithal to be used as motivation to kill or much of anything else. They aren't belief systems, they aren't worldviews. The most they can be is a feature of a belief system or worldview.

People have killed in the name of atheistic communism and theistic Christianity. That would be a valid comparison, but it doesn't get you the equivalency you want, because hardly any of us are communists, so you conflate the actions of bad people who are atheists with their atheism, so you can invidiously blame the crimes of totalitarian communist states on 'people like us'. It's the equivalent of us blaming 'people like you' for the crimes of Muslim extremists because you're a theist.

You can validly compare atheists and theists, you can validly compare communisists and Christians, but you can't validly compare atheists and Christians. You could validly compare humanists and Christians, but you won't.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Well said. One does not kill because one believes in gods (theism) or does not (atheism). One can be a believer or non-believer and kill people for reasons none of us would approve. In such cases the killing is incidental to what is believed regarding gods.

But there certainly has been killing by believers that was motivated specifically by what was believed in relation to gods. Jihad is a word for just that for Muslims. The crusades and the inquisition were past examples involving programmatic killing on the part of Christians in the name of what they believed regarding gods. I think the killing done by communists in China were motivated by what they believed about class differences; non-belief in gods was incidental.

Genetic fallacy. As stated on this page, killing in the name of atheism has nothing to do with what an atheist does when they kill someone....also when you try and do that, you attempt to conflate atheism with theism.

And oh look you still haven't replied to the rest of the post! How hard is it really?

RE: The Image Problem With Atheism in America
You stated atheists killing solely because there is no god as means of diverting from the fact of atheists killing....aka would be like saying Christians killing because of their God.

The rest of your post isn't a point, it's just you driveling on about nothing and then trying to pretend your lack of logic and focus is somehow winning. When one makes so many mistakes as you do, it's best not to make it worse.

Bet you can't quote me saying that, stop being dishonest.

The rest of my post deals with the stupid claims you make.

Really? And who gets to deside that? You?

And you didn't answer my question. Shall I refraise it? Do you think that these atrocities (of which you haven't given any exampls btw) were caused by atheism?
