AF novel idea!

Guys, I'd like to explore people's creative minds and writing styles by everyone putting in one sentence each in creating a novel.
We don't know where it will lead because it will naturally evolve!
Let's keep it real. Days of our lives real.
No talking animals, spacemen, etc
You need to give at least 10 others a go before you post another sentence.
I need someone with a talented writing style to start off the first sentence.
AMMENDMENT #1 to keep the style flowing, users are allowed up to 3 sentences.
