Abortion not allowed

RE: Abortion not allowed
Haven't read the entire thread so this has probably been said before but oh well. If you honestly believe that a foetus is a person with all the rights of a person then I fail to see how you have a problem with abortion. We wouldn't allow someone to kidnap someone else, hook themselves up to their kidneys and filter their blood to stay alive. Can you not see that by condemning abortion, you are giving foetuses special rights. You are giving them more rights than an actual person.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

I'm all for choice, though it is one I personally disagree with (abortion). I have seen C4RM5 state that he thinks abortion is 'wrong' and I personally won't go so far as to become judge. I have not, however, seen C4RM5 advocate, in any post, that choice should be removed as an option. I may be wrong, and I'll take correction in this regard. However, I do not think it is wise to conflate C4RM5's position with the presumed default of the Christian majority.

He said "Plainy I believe that women that have been raped should not be given an abortion, I have already said this."

So, yes, he is advocating removing choice. He is a moral midget.

Would you prefer that your beliefs (not to abort) be legally/officially imposed upon others who don't share your belief?

I think if it were to happen the child would have to be born first and then the mother can decide whether or not to murder the child. You have to see the person you are going to murder first, without doing so you are cold and heartless.

That argument is mighty flawed. It's really a bad analogy.

Carm, going to press you on a straight answer again. Should it be legal for a rape victim to abort? Yes or no.

He stated his personal/religious beliefs. I do not see the call for the sanctions.

There is no person; your argument is an idiotic appeal to emotion and has no place in rational discourse.
