Because facts tell us about reality. If facts contradict your beliefs, then your beliefs are wrong. Of course it only matters if you actually care whether your beliefs are true or not, which it appears you don't.

I see nothing wrong in believing in a God who has revealed himself to me. Beliefs don't need a factual back, for instance I belief I don't really like the colour orange, there is no factual evidence does it mean it is wrong?

I'm curious, if you believe in god because he's revealed himself to you, do you believe those alien abduction stories?

About alien abductions, like I said before I have never been abducted or met someone who claims to have been, so I am not sure.

So you are conceding that colours preference isn't a belief and that your point therefore is wrong?
The reason I asked you about alien abductions is because like you, they have a first hand experience. And yet no-body believes them. Can you think why? Because they could either be lying or mistaken. Personal experience is not sufficient evidence for anyone else to believe the claim.

You're not a monster. A bit misguided maybe, but you know I can't see any reason to fault you for your beliefs. You can believe that abortion is murder and I would encourage you to not have one or impregnate a woman who would want one.
I think abortion can be a very brave, mature, and responsible choice. I hope that you would have the courtesy to respect my right to believe this and encourage me to make choices for myself based on my beliefs.

Why bother to have a discussion at all if the facts don't matter to you? If you believe in things not only in the absence of facts but despite the facts than you will never hear anything of value because you have closed your ears, eyes, and mind. And certainly your beliefs won't convince anyone else.
You have a rational mind, yet you refuse to use it. You believe god created man in his image and made us different from the animals? You believe he gave you a great big glorious rational brain? I would think refusing to use such a gift would be a sin.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
