My wife would only be upset if I was looking at porn and didn't invite her to partake.
As your wife helped you to understand the body image issue, either she's not as comfortable with it as you think, or she realizes that she's an exception and wants you to understand that.

Quote:Agreed. Men can be taught what is and is not appropriate ways of flirting with or wooing women. Men can be taught to respect sexual boundaries. Society can do a better job of punishing sexually predatory behaviors.
Can men be taught to enjoy games that don't feature young, slender, scantily clad women?
Quote:Sorry you're so repressed. Maybe that's your problem.
It's not a problem to find your wife to be the most amazingly sexy woman on earth, even though she's not as young or slender as she once was.

Quote:Only for procreation purposes. Celibacy is the preferred lifestyle. Marriage is only the second option grudgingly offered. Shall I quote you chapter and verse?
Sure. You know it tells married people not to forego sex, and doesn't limit it to procreation, or you would have quoted chapter and verse already.

Heck, I'll do it for you:
1 Cor 7
1 Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 But I say this as a concession, not as a commandment. 7 For I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that.

You're correct that if someone has the gift of celibacy, that is considered preferable. However, it clearly says that others should marry and have a regular sex life. There is nothing there about procreation only.

Now that I remember, he was the one who unabashedly admitted that he couldn't logically justify his assertion that "life begins at conception" and yet feels no shame in his expressed desire to deny women their rights to choose simply on the basis of his arbitrary decision.

I would assert that you can't claim to be protecting the sanctity of a woman's body while trying to be the self-appointed arbiter of what she can and can't do with it.

I think you can fuck off with your assumptions of what DP's wife believes or feels. Not everyone is like you. Maybe she just likes porn.

Did you not read what I wrote? She DRAWS this stuff. She did so long before I met her.

Sure but that won't mean they don't like looking at young, slender, scantily clad women.

7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. (celibate)
7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

Paul spells it out pretty well:
Celibacy = awesome
Marriage = OK, if you have to but celibacy is better

I've always cringed when I see this sort of thing as "protective" armour:

Good lord when was that published? Even the fantasy character has late 80s-early 90s hair.

Mid 80s, I believe.

I've always used it as an example of non protective armour.

Why did she help you to understand the body image issue? Does she also contribute to women's unrealistic expectations? If so, why does she do it?

Sure but that won't mean they don't like looking at young, slender, scantily clad women.
So, these images contribute to womens' self image problems, and aren't necessary for men to enjoy the game. Seems like case closed to me.

More like:
Celibacy = awesome, if that capability is given to you. For everyone else:
Marriage = rut like rabbits so that you don't fall into temptation

I'm given marriage OR celibacy? Can't jerk it? Are you serious?!
Maybe X's drawings excite Y! Who fucking cares? Is someone really interested in what sexually arouses X or Y?

Edit for Xtian perversion.
