The Xtian god HAS TO BE A LIAR
October 25, 2014 at 1:12 pm
WE can say that IF you promise someone something you will do that YOU know you will never actually do - you lied
IF a god is All knowing - past - present - and future - that means that if MUST fulfill everything it says - it cannot CHANGE its mind. Changing its mind is the equivalent of not completing that promise
So the claim of a New Covenant REPLACING the old is an admission that the god LIED about the original covenant - since it HAD TO KNOW it as not going to actually fulfill the old covenant.
Again - this is an example of the contradictions of the claims of a god that cannot all be true at the same time.

Since Christian God is not shown to exist, it is safer to say those who made christians think there is a Christian God were liars.

It's pretty simple really. The wages of sin are death. Under the Law all have sinned. You die to the flesh, thereby being released from the Old Covenant and are born again in Christ. You are now under the New Covenant.

Interesting thing about laws. Many times when we enact new legislation, from weapons ownership to dangerous dogs, there is a risk that we criminalise a percentage of formerly law-abiding citizens, however well-intentioned or even necessary the laws are meant to be. What does that say about a law, or set thereof, that criminalises the whole human race?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

But there is no reason to believe that. It is made-up nonsense.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

The whole purpose of organised religion is to keep people under control for the ones spewing the nonsense. The stories of the old guy can even be partly understood as an attempt at lawmaking for half nomadic desert dwellers, barbaric as they are.
But it all comes down to picking and choosing, since Jesus himself said, he didn't come to change one iota of the law. The rest is just window dressing, since no christian believing the books can honestly say that god changed his mind. Take it from the mouth of Jesus. The old vengeful guy is still very much in business.
In fact that's the main reason curing me from religion once and for all. I didn't see any reason for worshipping such an evil being. And by the way, the trinity basically means that god sacrificed himself to himself.

It's great that you ask about this point, because the role of Israel within Xianity gets completely missed out- wrongly! I think Tom Wright's analysis from chapter 7 of his latest “Paul and the Faithfulness of God” hits several nails on the head on this topic:
Something's gone wrong with God's good creation. A promise was made to 'Abraham', that through him this would all get sorted out. Israel was appointed the means of rescuing humanity and so restoring creation. However, as a nation Israel kept getting it wrong, was unable to perform this task ('You had one job!'), and ended up in need of rescue itself.
Step forward Jesus. As Israel's Messiah, he rescues Israel from its own plight. As the representative of Israel he completes Israel's vocation to rescue the human race. As the true human, he re-establishes God's rule over creation.
So the covenant promises were fulfilled- God was faithful to the covenant even though His partners were not. God had a purpose for Israel, expressed in the Old Covenant, and it was carried through and completed. Israel would indeed be the means through which humanity and creation would be rescued.
Now I understand this raises as many questions as it solves. But we can now move forward to firing questions at better seen targets.
Cato's graphic- much truth!
