Huh? Protect what child? The dead one? There's nothing left to protect him from.

I thought you were all for seeing the parents suffer?

Boru

Isn't locking someone in prison until they die.. a death penalty? but at a cost to the tax payer. Or you let them out early and their victim loses!

No, not protect the dead child, but make sure the parents don't have any normal aspects of life again

Then Minimalist's point clearly went right over your head.

They will not be living a normal life in prison, for starters. Even less so once the inmates catch wind of their crimes (just in case you didn't know, people that harm children tend to be the bottom rung of max security prison hierarchies).

And again, you seem to be against the idea of allowing them to go to prison since it would be a cost to taxpayers, but I've already mentioned to you that the death penalty costs are exponentially greater.

Do I need to bring up some statistics for you?

I want them to be executed, not put in a room to be tortured by other vile pathological scumbags..

Well then that's a different story.

Just curious, why is it you want to see them executed over being tortured? What gain does the execution gratify? Execution is generally viewed as a retributive punishment, would torture not also satisfy this condition?

No, torture is widely disapproved of, I even have a thread on here that supports that, plus you're advocating convicted evil bastards being allowed to administer evil, whilst supposedly being locked up for doing evil !

Are they not different? Both abhorrent, but surely torture moreso...!

They're equally abhorrent, IMO.

Where did I say I was advocating for it? I was just asking why you were against it but not for administering the death penalty.

Personally, I wouldn't care what happened to them, they're despicable fuckers. As long as they suffer one way or the other I could care less what happened.
