The men in this narrative were acting like men of any faith would have acted during that time, as was shown by the men who raped her. It's true that the bible didn't call these actions moral in any way. These verses were not written to teach morality, but it does highlight the morality of the non-Jews as well and their treatment of women (and men). Jesus condemned these kinds of actions, as we are commanded to treat one and another with love and respect (even women).

22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
May I just note the oddity of these men, obviously cruising for gay sex to settle for the concubine.

God had no problem killing people on the spot for the mildest transgressions at other times. This time he just sat back with a cold one and watched the show. Well, until the mass murder begins again.
The whole story is very strange, even for a made-up one trying to make some obscure point. What the hell is the point? Remember how I was saying about tap dancing around that OT?
I forget where it is in the bible, but I think there's another story which is almost exactly the same as this one. I remember it from the Bible Reloaded. An ethereal donut for whoever remembers it first.

I was saying he should act the way that christians say he should. He's meant to be all-good and loving. If he existed, that is.
I have no problem teaching him some morals though, if he'd like some lessons. Number one thing I'd do if I had his kind of power is end all suffering, right now. Doesn't seem to be on his to-do list.
You can't take seriously what I ever say about god or religion, because we look at it from entirely different perspectives.
