From an Islamic perspective, I don't agree.

According to the following Quran verse (chapter 43 verse 13)

"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other)."

Islam does not allow racism because God created people with different race, colour, nation etc so that we may know each other not that we may despise each other, and if you think about it makes perfect sense. Let's give a simple:.....I live in London and it has over 20 boroughs, each borough has numerous towns and each town has it's own post code with different street names and doors numbers; for what reason, for uniqueness. Now suppose that London did not have any boroughs, and there was no different towns, no post code, no street names and no door numbers, just London; the postman would have a hard time delivering mail. That's the same with this world, God created people with different colour, looks, shapes, size, nations, tribes, etc so that we may know each other and not despise each other like racism.

Yes, but from a freethinker perspective I can't agree with you, because all religions, including Islam are intrinsically divisive, setting up a 'master-race' mentality, that believes theirs is the 'chosen race', selected and raised up by their deity and all other races upon the Earth are filthy and/or inferior in comparison. And non-believers, for simply not subscribing to any kind of faith-based system, are looked upon with even more disdain and contempt:

Sura 8:57-60 "If ye gain the mastery over them in war, disperse, with them, those who follow them, that they may remember. If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms. For God loveth not the treacherous. Let not the unbelievers think that they can get the better (of the godly). They will never frustrate (them). Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of God and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom God doth know."

And you speak of London as an apparent success? Sorry to break it to you, but London is no religious utopia my friend. You don't have to go far to hear people preach hatred towards each other there, whether pro/anti Islamic or not. There's more than enough videos on YouTube to demonstrate that intolerance is still alive and kicking in society today.
