Hmm, I guess this represents my one request, as an atheist to a theist- please think for yourself, don't repeat what someone else or a book says.

If you can't get a nuanced perspective on your religious beliefs why subject yourself to a literal one? Surely you can be a believer without all this nonsense. theist have a distinct advantage over atheist because they avail themselves of both books: nature, and revelation; angels are not revealed in nature. ps - the ‘mental’ snipe - not so clever.

Honestly, the fact that I still exist and would miraculously have memories and a functioning mind would be pretty nice.

That's quite ok. Your answers were more honest and useful than I had been expecting. However, if you want the truth, I still find them contradictory and they baffle me entirely.
I hope you don't mind me playing around, I poke fun at religion because to me it is ridiculous. It would be like me trying to argue with you sincerely that Santa is real. I don't think you'd take me seriously either, even if I had a Santa story book. It really is no different from my perspective. I try to only make fun of beliefs and arguments, but not the person. If ever overstep that, to anyone, it's not intentional. It's partly a way of having silly fun, and partly to demonstrate a point by absurdity.
