Jesus saves, fsu student!
And appearently so does john Wyclif, (14th century theologian) or rather his book.

What really gets me is the interview. Our local new station played it in its entirety. The boy attributes his deliverance to God, going into detail about his studies in theology. However abc and nbc new cut that part out leaving everything else.

I wonder how hard the media will work to bury this kids testimonial, and the fact that it was his theology books that saved him?

How come fucking 'god' didn't just stop the guy from shooting?

Too complicated for him, drippy? Obviously way too complicated for you.

Why would he need to?

Is it your contention that God's highest priority must be a 100 year life span of everyone on the planet? If so book chapter and verse please..

Where is it written that tomorrow has been promised to all of us?

The gunman was a storm, in the lives of those he touched. For some it further tore down their faith.. For this kid it certainly shored up his belief.

No, dipshit. My contention is that 'god' is a figment of your fucking imagination.

If your actual sincere response is "my god is perfectly okay with people dying in pain and misery," then your god is not worth anything. You may be content with serving a bloodthirsty sociopath, but don't you dare think you can make the statement you just made right after starting a thread about how cool your god is and his salvation. The contradiction is just to great to be borne by any reasonable person.

what a blatant straw man.ROFLOL

You literally quoted me, oh wait a tick! I didn't actually say any of that!!!ROFLOL

What does that say about your whole arguement if you have to make up a quote from me, and then base your whole effort/defense around what you just made up?

You have reduced the mighty 'devourer of men's souls' to the producer of thick viscous bull crap in just one post!

...books about God taking bullets.. Did you read the artical? If yes did you read and comprehend the OP? Or did you stop reading once you read the title?

Sorry fucker, you don't get to run away from the implications of what you were saying just because they're unpleasant. Min asked why your god didn't just stop the attack from happening, and your response was "where in the bible does it say that god cares about preserving lives?" It's not his "highest priority" according to you, which means that he's okay with people dying, when he could easily prevent it.

I'm sorry your beliefs are so deeply unpleasant, but that doesn't make what I said a strawman no matter how hard you guffaw like a braying fucking donkey. Dodgy

Perhaps it says that you didn't think through what you yourself said, that the fact that it's got some moral subtext you didn't intend came as such a surprise?

Any thick book can do that. By the way, them being stashed together in a bag helps block bullets. This has nothing to do with God.

Bottom line, Drips: your god invented death as a punishment for those pesky disobedient humans -- how dare they eat an apple?!

For every life you claim that he's saved by a miracle, you have to ask: what eventually happened to that person?

That's right: he died a death that you believe was decreed by god as a punishment.

Which is another way of saying that your god has not saved one life on this planet in its entire history, but rather is responsible for every human death ever.

Makes Hitler look like a pipsqueak, don'tcha think?
