You realize that opinions aren't factual statements, right?
Maybe this explains your suppurating threads spewing horseshit everywhere ... you've confused your opinion with fact.
I don't need to support my lack of faith with evidence. If you wish to change my mind, you'll need to bring evidence, not this weaksauce bullshit, Speedbag.
At this point it's starting to remind me of a dog chasing its tail.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

It seems that there are always certain believers (H_M appears to be one) who are so insecure in their faith that they require the patina of intellectual respectability as well. It's not enough for them to simply believe; they want to convince others that they aren't morons for believing as they do. Since they cannot demonstrate the truth of their silly beliefs (despite their posturing to the contrary), their only recourse is to try to drag down other disciplines -- scientific and historical -- to their own wretched level. Equivocating the word "faith" is one of the tools in their arsenal. What I've never been able to figure out when it comes to such people is whether they are supremely stupid or cynical.
However, I've never been in doubt that they are a complete waste of time. I salute those with the patience to deal with this nonsense, if only for the sake of the lurkers, but I lack the stomach for it. Laughter -- and lots of it! -- is my response. After all, that's what clowns are for.

If I were a betting man, I'd have to go with the former.
You can also add desperate to that mix. They interpret information in a way (even if it is an ass-backwards way) that forces it to agree with their dogma even if in reality it doesn't. If it can't be twisted enough to jive with their beliefs, it's rejected out of hand.
