Well, yeah. If it's not god going "Obey me or suffer!" there's the boogeyman, too.
But that really doesn't tie into creationism, which is really more about "Wow, god's awesome! Look at what he made!"
It's just a pedantic thing to me. Like saying "A billion+ believe in satan. Should Kirk Cameron movies be shown in school?" Aside from being components of modern Christianity, I don't see how one necessarily follows the other.
