What I type here makes sense to me. Words and meanings are unique to each individual if you want to talk more about it in private message we can if you care to listen to my perspective.

No, thank you. This is a forum; I wouldn't want anybody to miss out on your perspective. If you want to share your perspective with clarity, I invite you to do it here, in the forum, where I'm sure the community will lend itself to your writings.

A little advice though; maybe accompany the words you use with a little definition that you would like us to apply to them. Otherwise, we'll be forced to use the normal definitions we've all agreed on outside of your head.

I can try... It will be difficult as I don't know you well enough. I can't read minds. Basically what I'm trying to put across here is my STRONG belief that the big bang created US and that WE were the compressed molecules that have since exploded or expanded into what we have now. A long time ago me and you were not separate just as me and this computer screen I am staring at right now were not separate. What makes a human different to a computer screen? Well my answer to that is that humans have meaning (a soul) , (consciousness), (life) etc. What do you think we are as humans? I am interested to know your perspective.

hmmm.... How does this thing on top play with this down here:
(December 7, 2014 at 7:22 pm)Rarthyr500 Wrote: There's a reason why God is so elusive. Some people do not deserve to exist. You don't need my photograph of God's lights to see God's lights yourself. You could try meditation or studying metaphysics or perhaps you could just wait until you die. I know the main problem atheists have with God is evidence, but the evidence is as simple as being able to walk outside on a nice sunny day, or being able to talk to a loved one. Or watching a good movie, or eating good food. If you REALLY want physical evidence of God I could take pictures of the universe as it truly is and show you the evidence but you will simply claim that the image has been tampered with so what's the point?

If God does not exist to you then there is no God.

God exists to me therefor I see God everywhere.

The ultimate answer simply is. God isn't real. I can't provide you with evidence and I love the way the world works!

God's unreality is the best reality ever.

Flesh is flesh, not woo woo.

Here I can help you take a picture of God's brilliant lights! It's an amazingly simple trick. Get a camera go to a friend or loved one and take a picture. BOOM you have just seen God in the flesh.

We're primates, relatives of the great apes. Sharing a common ancestor.

And of course we're made up from stuff the universe provides, since there's no other stuff available. But it doesn't need a supernatural explanation to come up with that.

ok, I think I get it... Just don't call that "god".
The name god has way too much baggage associated with it.
Call it "warm fuzzy feeling". That's so much better! Smile

I love that warm fuzzy feeling, don't you?
I like to call it God, because I have free will, I'm sorry the term upsets you but to me God has MEANING. Still I feel like I have outstayed my welcome here. I don't want to make anyone else uncomfortable. I just felt like I needed to be here tonight. Take care of yourself.

Anyone else feel like they've just been on a merry-go-round?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I'm just glad that I haven't eaten...
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

RE: My de-converted re-conversion
You don't believe in my god? He lives in my house. I see him every day, and I've relayed his messages onto the forum. What more proof do you need?

He is the Christian God, but not exclusively. Other religions have written about him (he is a him, I checked while he was sleeping) but everyone has got him really wrong. He's a nice guy, and way too much has been attributed to him, good and bad.

Also, he says atheists are right because he has low self esteem and doesn't believe in himself. And if he doesn't believe, I can't disagree with God can I?
Feel free to send me a private message.

Seems as if there are no concerns on that score.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
