It's a bad idea to make decisions and then never review them now and again, in spite of new evidence, or because you refuse to view readily available evidence. That goes for everything.

It does what it does, and it's our responsibility to try and figure it out.
Some people don't find it 'plausible' that time travels at a different speed in orbit than it does on the surface. But it does, and reality isn't going to alter that if it makes them uncomfortable.
