Remove your rose-colored glasses and you will see who has been clinging to the falsities.

Don't you all have any better cliches. We get tired of the same thing all the time, entertain us some.

Don't you have better evidence, claims, books?

We get tired of the same old nonsense being touted as "evidence" that should convince us of your imaginary friend.

Entertain us a little. Step out of the shadow of your book of myths and engage on an honest intellectual level.

I agree with Crossless above. Why not examine Baptist theology vis Swedenborgian and start tallying off the inconsistencies and contradictory view points? I'm sure there'll be some agreements (A 'christian' Jewish deity, Jesus, resurrection etc), but what of the disagreements? What do we do with those?

"You just don't want to believe" indeed.

We both believe in Christ as our savior, we believe He is the Son of God, He died for our sins and was raised from the grave. We believe in a virgin birth and subscribe to Christ's teachings. Those are the things that save us, they are what actually count and all the other things are denominational differences, they have nothing to do with being saved. Yes we have differences but, we also have salvation as the other Christians here do. One other thing ever notice that the atheist here start almost every thread about hell, interesting wouldn't you say.

Hitler believed all that too. The problem is that he focused a bit more on the killing of non believers, pagans, homosexuals, and such than most christians.

The jews don't forget the jews. He was less harsher on people of dark skin but still harsh enough.

So rather than actually look at the myriad of ways you disagree, and the myriad of ways that countless christian sects have murdered each other based on these disagreements, we'll just gloss over it with 'well, Jesus and shit'

My, how convincing.

In answer to your question, GC, no, it's not interesting at all. Ever notice how you've never once ever managed to produce one iota of testable or verifiable evidence for your Sky friend? That's not interesting either, just standard.

What would be interesting is theists could have a frank and open discussion that stood up to the rigorous intellectual consistencies they set themselves in other scenarios in their lives (I have a ball. 'Prove it'). Fat chance of that though, eh?

Right. When you guys can actually come up with a consistent claim, instead of fighting over whose make believe is more real, we'll happily point to the fact that you still have no evidence.

No amount of ponsy words, logical fallacies, trashing atheists or trashing science is a substitute for evidence or reason. The fact that you all have to resort to such dishonest tactics shows that you got nothing. Be honest and say you believe what you want to believe. That's all there is to it.

Oh, you mean to say that "you just don't want to believe, so you can sin!" is some new, searingly brilliant thought? Dodgy

Oh, and Chad? You're just a christian because you don't want to believe in Islam, because you want to sin against Allah.

What's that? That claim is fatuous, not reflective of what's in your mind, and entirely presumptuous because I don't know you nor the beliefs that I'm attempting to dictate to you?

Why do you all reject islam by the way? And all the other infinity of possible Gods? Should it not be that only a God can judge other gods?

Christians are atheist against an infinity of religions. So are atheists. What's one against infinity? We have infinitely more in common than not. It's just we don't use special pleading to try and make one case "different".
