Atheism - Try it, You'll Like It!
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/12/pasto...o-reality/

Quote:The former pastor of the Hollywood Seventh-day Adventist Church, who stepped down from his position in March of 2013 before embarking on what he called a “Year without God,” has concluded that he no longer believes that God exists.

In an interview with NPR, former pastor Ryan Bell said his year long journey took him from merely questioning the existence of God to arriving at the conclusion that there is no convincing case for the existence of God.

See? They can learn if you just pry their heads out of their asses for a while.

How do you "try out atheism" for any stretch of time? Besides having constant sex and drugs and going on a murder spree, of course.

Also... LOL at the "Hollywood Seventh Day Adventist Church."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

It's possible he was already atheist when he went on this quest, and used it as a path to slowly bring himself out of the closet. Who knows though.

Sounds reasonable though

On the same lines of credibility as "the I have a lot of black friends" argument by certain people.

Obviously, it takes a certain degree of rationality which you lack.

Stick to your fairy tales...you'll be happier.

And look at how secure you are in your faith, too, with such an imaginative and creative and inspired username like yours. I am sure you tried it. Cuz you're just so secure. If you were any more secure, and they named an airport after you, they'd name it "JesusChristLover Super Secure Airport."

Yeah, right. You probably don't even know what baby tastes like.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
