To JesusChristLover : How many babies do an average atheist eat averagely on an average day ?

That depends of course, we're talking average babies here?

I like eating mine in a little read sauce and ravioli.

Justified faith in God requires the soul's eyes to constantly look at God through out their lives. Once a person shuts off his vision and believes blindly, his faith becomes unjustified. A lot of people never acquired the vision and believed for other reasons. This vision takes the power of love to gain proper vision, so one must purify their heart in loving God sincerely and wanting to please him.

It says in the bible something to the effect of "faith comes by hearing". A fine example of groupthink if you ask me. Your "other reasons" reminded me.
Just another of the many fine examples of brainwashing in the Christian faiths...

What is unfortunate is that this sort of thing is considered so unusual/outrageous/provoking as to constitute 'news'.

I tried atheism for awhile, but found that I didn't care for baby meat.

Maybe you weren't secular atheist enough.
Because babies taste like kobe beef to me.

hmmm. Tried it. Don't like it much. Unfortunately, the truth does not appear to give many fucks about how much people care for it.

If I could lobotomise the rational bit of me and go back to being a Christian I think I probably would.

Sometimes to be honest, I just use quorn in the shape of babies as a high protein, low fat alternative.

Believing that the all powerful ruler of the universe was my special buddy, that he took a positive interest in my life, that there was a plan for it which was ultimately positive, so that even in the bad bits there was a point to it all. To be able to pray about something and feel better afterwards. The sense of community and belonging. The lack of need to answer the big questions because there was already an answer.

It was a nice thing. Look at it this way. If I told you that on your next birthday, you'd get a massage with a happy ending from jennifer lawrence / Gerrard butler (delete to personal preerence) and you had reason to believe me, and were ABLE to believe me, you'd be happy about that! It would be "good news" You'd look forward with a sense of optimism, and it might even help you get through your week. The fact that in the end you wouldn't would be relevant until the day. Whereas if the truth is that your birthday would be a date with dame palm and her five lovely daughters, thats not so nice a thing to contemplate.
