And naturally the group of feminists that pulled the fire alarm knew this and so were justified in doing it?

You make it sound like the group was some organization. It was just a bunch of guys and girls that wanted to hinder what they saw as hate speech at the university in Canada. They're not an organization. Furthermore, they are just a very small subset of feminists out there.

And, in addition, pulling the fire alarm is not an indicator of dishonesty.

So there was a fire, yes?

So contrary to what Alice said in that post, those feminazis with extreme views seem to be myth (at least as a group worth the label).

Well I say 'that group of feminists' because it sounds better than just saying 'those feminists', there's no way anyone would think that I am generalising.

I know. My point was about this one specific incident.

They pulled a fire alarm when there wasn't a fire. It's certainly not honesty.

Right, pulling a fire alarm sends a very clear message to people that there is a fire and there is danger. And there wasn't, so this is dishonest. Obviously good enough reasons may warrant such action without a fire but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

Yes, they are a small subset, but they are really fucking loud and they have a bad habit of tarnishing the word feminist.

Yes, it most certainly is.

So your problem is that they are just really fucking loud? What a silly objection to have regarding feminists.

Do you want feminists to be quiet and meek like all women are expected to be by traditional gender expectations while men are the only ones allowed to be aggressive?

By the way, regarding the alarm. It's not dishonesty if the intention was to just disrupt the meeting and not to alert to some fire.

For God's sake, please someone tell me what was so horrid about that website. What did these nasty evil people actually say that would make them such a nightmare in the eyes of critical thinking skeptical bunch of atheists?

No, her point was that the bad feminists are 'loud' in the sense that they appear everywhere and are popular in the media, therefore giving real feminists a bad name.

Okay, how about next time you wait for a response to your initial question before coming to a conclusion that you would like.

Right so it wasn't dishonest to use dishonest tactics to prevent a meeting? Instead of discussing anything with them, they were being 'honest' when they physically prevented their meeting from taking place. Also, it was dishonest as fire alarms are meant for emergencies. Taking away firefighters that could be helping someone else. You know, its almost like you believe that these feminists were justified in pulling the fire alarm? As crazy as that sounds.
