Originally, Supers. Now I'm at Strike Fighter Weapons School Atlantic and I teach both.

...Growlers too.

That's fucking fantastic. I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the Academy. My career path was to fly Hornets and go to TPS in Pax River. I played football for the Academy and messed up my back pretty bad and got medically DQ'ed from being a pilot. I had to go SWO. It was devastating. I enjoyed my time as a SWO, but got out after my 5 years.

What exactly do you teach?

This could be informative, or annoying. Posting it anyways: https://atheistforums.org/stats.php

"Members who have posted: 61.57%"

It's just under two thirds, but that's a good enough estimate to me.

I kind of wish that the forum statistics page was more... statisticy, but I'm sure it doesn't matter.

Awesome link!! Yay xD

Yes, the Growler is well underway. I hated the prowlers and i couldn't be happier to see them decommissioned. I'm a Weapons Systems Tech. Im no pilot! Anything about the interface of weapons, their controlling/release systems, or the weapons themeselves falls into my classroom. We also perform the CWTPI Inspections for the fleet squadrons throughout their various cycles.

I was in Pax River on an internship at TPS when they were in the final test phase for the EA-18G. They were having a problem with the APU overheating.

Guess they got that fixed. Tongue

That's cool, man. Weapons Systems and Avionics were among my favorite classes at the Academy.

You are definitely the first person to make a mention of an "APU" on this site! If I hadnt +1'nd you already, that wouldve been worth one. Lol

My first post was my long ass intro post/life story. It was kudo'ed by Brian37: http://atheistforums.org/thread-29638-po...#pid793949

My first rep was Parkers Tan.

It's fun seeing some of the long time members' first posts on here. From baby steps to years and thousands of posts. Very cool. Smile

Yeah It was buck. He was fighting cancer but banned for reasons that were...complicated.

I enjoyed his posts, hope he's still alive and kicking.
Yeah, I'm still around, very much alive and kicking, retired, and now in my 14th year fighting my incurable cancer.

The ban wasn't really that complicated. When a mod who claims to be an atheist on the atheist board Reggie and I started told a member that their dead mother was looking down on them and very proud, the last straw snapped and I realized it was time to move on. I decided to go out with a bang by pointing out the incredible amount of BS involved in such a declaration by a fellow atheist and staff member there. There were also several other behind the scenes things I knew about from my many years as the founding admin that made it impossible for me to respect the rest of the staff there any longer.

Anyway, all's well here. Smile

Hey Buck, man it's good to see you around.

Probably may not remember me but I was Fidel_Castronaut over at AF.com. I was only outside looking in, but regardless, maybe if you want a new place to hang your hat for a while this place could be it.

Hope you stick around man, miss that Ghostbusters avatar.

OK, well, thanks for entertaining my curiosity/concern on that subject. That just looked weird to this outsider (who left that board after just...well...feeling like an outsider. Different style, I guess). Welcome.
