When I was arguing with one of my brothers about justification for believing in God, another brother said to me in the middle of the conversation, "you're using just words." I responded with "yes, I'm using words." Then we walked of with a victories pose. To this day, I have no idea what was going through his mind. FYI, he flatly denies he said anything that stupid.

I met a guy that genuinely believes that lightning comes from god. He was middle aged.
I would think that, of all the things people have ever attributed to gods, that we could all agree lightning was no longer one of them. I doubt he passed physical science class.
My grandmother has told me there are some things you just need to accept as true, regardless of anything else.

There are so many. So so many. Maybe if I post one every day. I mean I can never choose which one is the winner...hmm I'll go with this gem from my mother "you'll do well to remember that girls should always smile and be content."
My parents had this thing for quiet contentedness. They were never really found of expressing emotions.
