All the more reason for Zachary Quinto to keep breathing.

Very sad news, and to be honest I have been so tired from my work hours that I did not take the proper time to remember who Nemoy was. I was always more familiar with him as Spock rather than by his real name.

He did live long and he did prosper. In spite of his smoking

Hitchens died from it too. I wish my dad's attempt to stop me had worked, it actually backfired on him. I could not stop unless you locked me up and medicated me. It is an addiction and very few can simply stop.

Nothing to add

I'll see your irreverence and raise you. I too was growing up when the original star trek came on the air. Didn't like it. Even then I gagged every time Kirk got his Shakespeare on. Now the second generation was another story, much much better. Almost any program or movie are 100% better off without William Shatner in them.

Almost. But not quite. The bold popinjay in the second generation would have been less than nothing but for shatner having made Kirk before him. The entire premise of Picard exists but in comparison with Kirk: "less of a man, but better for it because the universe is more neutered"
