Which one is that then? The bit about tents?
See, other christians would tell me you're wrong and you're probably going to hell too. What would you say to them?
I would tell them the Truth and back it up with Scripture, and I would point out the various contradictions that are inherent in the doctrines of nominal Christendom. Of course, I've done this before and am either ignored or called a heretic, though no one has ever proven me wrong.

Ah. Ok well, I got some new eyes and ears from the joke shop. Let's have a look...
Fuck, I scribbled it all out except the bit about building tents. Well, I'll take this as a sign.
Repent! The new and correct denomination is the Tenters. Membership is 30 pieces of brass a year, or your first born. All others are wrong and illogical.
Well finally I got there, I would never have guessed today would be that day.
That's cool you're not offended. Often here people blow a gasket when I say that I just... Never mind :p

So you have the so called "truth", and to back it up you cherry pick from scriptures to support your position while either ignoring the rest or dismissing it as corrupt or metaphor. I can see why you think nobody has been able to prove you wrong, there are a lot of things I would like to call you but heretic isn't one of them.

It finally makes sense.
Because, I was never that good at making tents. Wow!
What was all this other gibberish then about slaughter and rape and abortion and screwing your dad?

If you'd witnessed the arguments, you'd have seen that I provided substantive arguments backed up by Scripture, and my opposition either completely ignored what I said or kept repeating themselves, all the while failing to back up any of their arguments with Scripture OR substance.
That is what happens when people face the Truth. It is much easier to hate it than prove it wrong; much easier to walk away than admit defeat.

Tents.
Right on, brother. A tent will keep you warm. Well, a bit. Not very much.

And scripture is not evidence of anything except that you are gullible. Using scripture as evidence to support a religious claim is circular reasoning.

Are you simply going out of your way to argue with me? Why wouldn't one use Scripture as evidence in a theological argument, at least when that argument is with other Christians? What are we supposed to argue with, verses from the Koran?

Again scriptures are not evidence they are just made up by people no divine intervention just people being people making up god scriptures in a nutshell to get people who were illiterate and gullible enough to believe in a god.

In case you have not noticed, you are on an atheist forum. Theists do not debate each other on here (at least I have not witnessed it). This forum is primarily comprised of atheist versus theist debate.
If you do not understand circular reasoning, perhaps this picture will help you.
