I bet you wouldn't be the only person with that idea. Personally forget that. I'd much rather die with all my friends and family than die in space a few years later knowing that everyone on earth is dead. Talk about the ultimate PTSD.

Well lets just say this is after the colonization of mars those poor people would be fucked. I mean no radio comms with earth after awhile would drive them insane and wondering what the hell happened.

I don't know. I haven't seen it. I did recently watch 'Children of Man' where the world goes infertile and we know that the human race will go extinct after this generation. That movie took a grim outlook at what would happen, which I think is probably accurate.

Yeah, saw that too some years ago. But for me there's quite the distinction between the world ending and humanity going extinct. The world would take a breath of relief if we weren't there anymore.

I imagine some collaborate effort to try and colonize another planet, and/or anarchy from a lot of people.

I can only imagine worldwide chaos as nobody would have real purpose in life any longer.

There would be no finance, nobody would be working and I think it would generally bring out the worst in a lot of people that would ruin it for those that want to passively enjoy their last year.

Yeah, saw that too some years ago. But for me there's quite the distinction between the world ending and humanity going extinct. The world would take a breath of relief if we weren't there anymore.

Given time in millions to billions of years maybe one day another sentient being will evolve from some other type of animal given the huge amount of time after humans are gone. Quite sad really i wont be around to see it though. Our moralities are a curse because we have life.

I can't speak for other parts of the world. but where I've lived, I think a significant proportion of the folks would probably go anarchic -- a minority, but enough to make things shitty for the rest of us.
