So, this guardian angel is so fucking inept that it can't attract any attention before rescue workers are in the fucking water?!?

So 4 different first responders all hallucinate the same thing? In the real world minnie that's called being a witness to an event.

Could be that they rescue workers were believers (even if not particularly religious) and were lying their ass off for gawd.

Y'know, if I was a guardian angel with magic powers, I wouldn't use sound to attract rescuers a half-a-day after the fact; I'd use telepathy to summon help immediately, because, well, that's my goddamned job.
