It doesn't matter when the truth was written because it will always be the truth. No human can mess up God's plan because nothing is out of his control. He is a righteous, merciful, good, just and judge. He will give you mercy and forgive your sins through the blood of christ. He will judge you for what you have willfuly done if you choose to reject Him.

Ok. Now give me some unbiased (aka non-Christian) sources that corroborate those prophecies instead of force-fitting things that aren't really fulfillments. Go ahead...I'll wait.


Apologetics like the ones you referenced are part of what was used to indoctrinate me, just as they have been used to indoctrinate you. Obviously you're just unwilling to see the truth because you're more comfortable in your ignorance, even though all we want to do is save you from that so you can have a real relationship with reality. In fact, Nebuchadrezzar failed to take the city, managing to knock out only a suburb on the mainland, called Ushu. And here is a picture from Google Earth of Tyre, today, showing what it looks like:



Now I'm not an expert on reading satellite imagery, I'll admit, but I'm pretty sure that's not a photograph of "a bare rock...a place for spreading nets...never again be rebuilt", even if Nebuchadrezzar had managed to take the city, as prophesied.

You really sound like a mind-blown cultist, and not because you're a Christian. Every time I read your posts, my mouth literally hangs open for a moment in amazement at how you sound like a drone, like a caricatured, two-dimensional (badly written) cultist in a horror film. You are not doing your religion any good by talking to anyone like this, and especially not when talking to open skeptics of your faith.

Try not just repeating mantras at us, especially simplistic ones we've heard a million times from people much less mind-blown than you seem to be from the way you speak here, but actually engaging your mind and offering some well-reasoned, thoughtful responses.

If I wanted to see someone looking like they're in a trance and mumbling "praise the Lord" while waving together en masse, I'd go to a Christian rock concert at an evangelism conference.

Jesus the son of God came down out of his great love and mercy to defeat sin and death through his death and resurrection. You can live with Him by accepting His death for your sins. Or you can cling to your sin and be removed with it when Jesus comes to judge all man kind. The simplest answer is because you want to. Ask yourself do you want to follow God or do your own thing?
The other part of the answer is you were born into sin because adam and eve cursed humanity with their act of rebellion. They enslaved people to a rebellious human nature. That is why God sent His son to die for our sins because without him we are unable to live the righteous life God commans of us to live. He enlightens us to this fact and will show us how rebellion affects us and others.

Ricketykeisha, do you believe we evolved or that we were designed and created by God?  Assuming you think it is the latter can you explain to me why God would implant a sinful nature in us?  Why the conflict?  If I were going on a trip with station wagon full of brats in the back there is no way I'd choose to give them a sinful nature and then coerce them to behave with sticks and carrots.  Is God a masochist like that?  Why would He put Himself through all that?

Yeah, yeah.  I know.  But why the sinful disposition?  If we really were designed by a perfect being why install a disposition to 'sin'?  Couldn't we be given a desire to be the way God wants us to be and still keep our free will?  Or maybe God enjoys putting lots distractors out there so that He can choose only those that are just really intimidated by Him and will do whatever He asks.  I guess God wants submission to Him t cost us something, you know, like our pride.

I think you are confused. Humans were not created with a sin nature. When everything was finished everything was very good. Then Adam and Eve chose sin by choosing to disobey God's commands and disregard His warnings. So now there isn't a man or woman alive who has had a sinful father or mother. We learn from the people around us an all we know is sin. Still, Jesus was the only one who lived a sinless life. When we accept His death on the cross we are accredited His life, His righteousness. His death is counted as our death. Also through the Holy Spirit we grow to become more like Christ. Then after God removes all sin from His creation, and those who cling to it, we will be fully perfected.
