The careful reader will have discerned otherwise. While I agree with you that it's not terribly relevant, still, the fervent espousal of a belief that has been shown to be at least questionable -- which is the case here, your protestations notwithstanding -- is not an efficient way to go about winkling truth out of reality.
I honestly hope your book is a satisfying labor. I'm a hobbyist writer, not yet published, so I'm not out to prod you with a pitchfork, but wish you well. I will say that when I came across your statement that you're not going to come back here any more, I was a little bummed. But hey, I s'pose you're a busy guy and all. I hope you regard my points as helpful.
'Bye.

We take a dim view of people coming here to use us (by your own admission).
So how about YOU piss off?
Piss. Off.

Look up "God is not Great", that's also not 'to' bad.

Yeah agents are really hard to get unless you have stuff published already. Which is like counterproductive lol.

I have noticed that I talk to my deceased father in my mind. "Dad" has replaced "God" when I have one-way conversations in my head.
Apparently Tony won't see this, because he decided to leave. Judging by his posts, I don't think he was interested in a serious conversation anyway. It's a shame.

No I'm still here, and I have been having a serious conversation with quite a few of the people in here who bothered to give serious responses.
I'm very sorry to hear about your father, that must have been tough to live through, if it gives you any comfort at all what your describing in terms of speaking to your father instead of to God from what I've read is actually very common in how people cope with that. I haven't had to deal with it yet myself and I don't look forward to the day that I do.

Man, I may be in the minority here(and granted, I skipped the last few pages), but I think you guys are nitpicking the shit out of Tony's question and focusing on unimportant details. Sure, it was a bit simplistic of an approach, but I thought there could have been a decent discussion develop from this. Instead, we got harping on irrelevant details.
Maybe I'm just bothered that there was finally a topic(suicide) that I'm actually qualified to speak about, and you guys ruined it!

No, I gotcha, FNM: I agree. People do seem to be picking at nits, but maybe they have better instincts than you and I; between the OP admitting he is using us, the disregard for the 30/30 rule TWICE, and the PM he just sent me- he doesn't belong here.
Feel free to talk about suicide, though; I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say

Question for Atheists

It's all gone a bit wrong this thread hasn't it. I must admit to being a little puzzled by your intention. You freely admit to not coming here to get to know anyone and that you won't be back but then offer what seem to be throwaway condolences to people who you know nothing about.
It doesn't really bother me why you're here but something doesn't add up. That's often a problem on internet forums I suppose but anyway..

Oh? Qualifications? I'd love to hear your thoughts. And yeah, they have been nitpicking the shit out of it and are apparently upset that I'm only here to do research for the book I mentioned in the OP.
Anyway, one of the major themes in the book is suicide so your thoughts on the OP would be fantastic. Thank you.

Well I stated my intentions in the OP, I'm doing research for a book and wanted an atheists perspective. I also offered links to prove that intention later but that was in violation of a rule so it was removed. If you still doubt the intention though you can look me up, my name is Anthony Caputa, like I said before I'm not trying to hide anything or trick anyone or market anything. My true intention really is to do research on a real book that I'm in the middle of writing.
The condolences I offered weren't meant to be throwaways, we're all human beings here and I'm truly empathetic to another human's suffering. I don't have to know the above poster personally to feel sorry for the loss of their father. That has to be a hard thing to go through for anyone.

I wasn't aware of the 30/30 rule. Saying I'm using you is putting it a bit harshly, but if that's the way you want to put it fine, I admitted that directly in the OP. And excuse me if I don't have anything nice to say to you but the first thing you said to me was fuck off. Instead of pretending like I was a complete cocksucker in that PM, why don't you just tell everyone what I said. All it amounted to was I'm surprised that they let you be a moderator when you speak to people the way you do. I stand by that statement.
You admit to knowing that I'm new here, what in the world makes you think I know the 30/30 rule. The gentleman earlier mentioned it, but I didn't see that until after I saw yours. I'm new to this forum. But yeah, get bent.
