That's even more scary Shock

Hey, when you ban the longtime theists, don't complain that you're left with an atheist circle jerk.

When "I" ban them huh?

Show some respect for the staff. When people get banned, it's because they act like complete jerks. If you have an issue, I suggest you PM a staff member.

OK, interesting! There is one vote for each of the categories except "certain" but I don't know who from. Thanks to whoever has voted Smile I realized I can click "show results" even though I haven't voted (obviously that would mess it up).

So my question to theists is if you suddenly lost belief in your religion, how likely would it be that you would radically alter your behaviour towards others?

I'm surprised at this, too. Though I am reminded daily in the workplace that there are people literally waiting to stomp on others as soon as they can grab their next promotion. And it's expressed so matter-of-factly. I wonder it there's hope for the world at all. Edit: Sorry I responded just to see the results - selecting Impossible.

Probably the same morals, less restrictions. But many of those same restrictions wouldn't really change that much either....I am not the type of guy who likes to fool around religion or no religion.

RE: Religious theists: question about your morality
I doubt any Christian who thinks about the question very long is going to decide that he's going start murdering tomorrow if he lost faith. But there are a number of things that most Christians think are immoral and many atheists do not, such homosexuality, divorce, taking the lord's name in vain, etc. I'd be more interested to know what kind of morals a Christian thinks he might lose if he lost his faith.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I would not care if a woman was divorced (I think of them as still married) if I gave up my faith....that's one of the only differences I made since becoming a Christian.
