You when Richard Dawkins (who by the way I don't pay much attention too) talks about the perfect teacher/lecturer who teaches science perfectly but who simultaneously hold views contrary to science? Well my father fits that description perfectly. He once said to me: "I believe the Earth is 6000 years old less than I used to." And he teaches people about science...

Probably what this shows is how almost everybody must form opinions by choosing which experts to believe. Even the experts must trust other experts, because nobody can learn everything in detail and verify every claim.

So that's why smart Christians can believe such ridiculous things. They are forced by their religion to choose from an ever shrinking pool of Christian experts who are basically quacks.

A tiger, lion, cougar, panther, leopard, hyena, etc are all also kinds of animals.
Unless you're going to claim that 'feline' is a kind unto itself, and say that all those animals plus cat are just one kind.

Exactly, nice of someone to notice.

Wait, so you're agreeing with me?
If so, there is no way Noah would able to bring all those 'kinds' of animals on to an ark.
I mean, he couldn't just bring "felines" on to the ark, he would have to bring lions and tigers and panthers and leopards and hyenas, etc on to the ark.....

kangaroos Koalas and wallabies. Where were their "kinds".

SIGH

You know what, the Noah story is so obviously a baseless myth that anyone believing it as a fact in this day and age has to be able to completely blind themselves to reality and is not worth our time.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

He bought enough felines to produce today's cats. So, no I'm not agreeing with you, I thought you were seeing all cats belonged to the feline kind.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Ark at you. Floody 'ell.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Wow, what an ego. Settle down, GC, you're getting over-excited.

Thing is GC...different breeds is how the process of divergence starts. Eventually, given enough generations and enough mutation, a dalmation will become its own species entirely, as will any other different breed of any species. Since we do not live in geological timescales, however, we don't notice this change occurring over the few decades we live on earth.
We all occupy our own teeny tiny little slice of time. Unfortunately, it seems a fair number of idiots think their little slice of time is the most important, the one against which all other slices must be measured.

Because I was making a flippant pun not aimed at anyone.
