Black People - Stop Blaming Racism, Take Responsibility

RE: Black People - Stop Blaming Racism, Take Responsibility
If only all the parents of the rioters were like that. The slapping the shit out of their dumbass kid part, not the milf part.

"Impossible?"  Almost a pointless expression.  What percentage can escape?  The fact that someone does cannot overcome the obstacles of cyclic poverty, police brutality, broken homes, shitty schools, and, worst perhaps, the pervasive opinion of the rest of the country that these people are throwaways.  YOu have a whole political party of scumbags demonizing them for being poor.  It took a burning drug store to make white America sit up and say "what's going on in Baltimore?"  They were pretty quiet when a guy got his neck broken in the back of a police van.  What to guess how that happened?

I'll give the cops credit for showing admirable restraint last night.  They probably know they are on thin ice as it is but at least they didn't overreact.

Pretty quiet? What was the rest of america supposed to do? Riot? Write an angry letter to the president? Condemn it on their blog? What action could an average citizen take in light of a guy they don't know, in a state they don't live in, getting his neck snapped by police?

Yeah, right. Admirable restraint while Baltimore burned down around them. Martin Luther King advanced the cause of Civil Rights through peaceful protests, not by setting fire to a whole town. Torching Baltimore did nothing for the Blacks who live and work in that community.

When Cliven Bundy called for gun nuts to back him he didn't seem to have much trouble.  They're doing it again in Oregon, as we speak.

But, you're right.  The general feeling is "what's one nigger, more or less."

Baltimore burned down, Adolf?  I know you're hoping for the old days of the Warsaw uprising so you can inflate the body count but you'd better pull your stormtroopers back from the brink.

You'll never change.  You'll always be a fucking prick.

Who knows what percentage? What does it matter? What is pretty certain in my view is a lot more could escape than currently even try to, or people could clean up their neighbourhoods at least to some degree, or at the very least improve their chances if these communities changed some of their attitudes. That's the point.

Attitudes like "fuck the police", "don't snitch" etc. How many times do you want me to go over it?

I think that's pretty undeniable really. All it sounds like right now, is excuse making for burning buildings instead of saying, what can the the black community actually do?

"It took a burning drug store to make white America sit up and say "what's going on in Baltimore?""

And this is exactly my effing point Min! The cause gets put on the backburner when gangs of cunts go around fucking shit up aimlessly. That doesn't help anyone in their community does it? Now those who already have stereotypes and prejudice in their minds are looking at the situation, essentially going "what a bunch of fucking animals", having their prejudices confirmed.

Like I said, I've been over this loads of times in this thread, it's starting to get boring now.

I guess I'll post it for about the fourth time, because you STILL don't seem to get it.

"The point is not that the stereotypes or discrimination are justified. But that to the people who already hold these views against various minorities, the looting and rioting only serve to deepen their conviction. The whole "unarmed black man" storyline gets lost when people are assaulting firemen and cutting firehose lines."

I may as well put that fucking thing in my sig.

Now you're just doing a Dystopia and taking the discussion down a road that isn't really relevant, frankly. Like anyone even denies the point you're trying to prove by posting that comic.

Completely irrelevant post.

Speaking of Dystopia, I notice he's still doling out kudos to these 'on-point' types of posts, even though he's already been told how blatantly he's misinterpreted what the point is, not just by me. Funny that.

I have a weird personality and sometimes typing feels boring to me so I just kudos and read the replies. Is there anything else you want to discuss with me specifically?

Your basic premise in the last reply for me was that you didn't say "complain" but "blame". What difference does it make? If I have less chances of getting jobs, have shitty schools, am raised surrounded by crime and violence, etc, I can most certainly blame it on racism and systemic one in particular. It doesn't make a difference. The blame black people put on racism is rational and justified because racism = marginalization + poverty = criminality and despair.

There will always be bad apples that use excuses to their benefit, that happens in every group (including organized atheists), that doesn't change the fact most of what blacks go trough is either due to past racism or to institutional racism that strongly decreases the chances of self-fulfilment and survival. I don't see how trying to work hard to get out of the hole means you can't blame racism because even if you manage to do it you still know that because of racism you had a harder time than anyone else (or most racial groups)

Oh, and why would rioting reinforce stereotypes? Didn't you ever see what white Greeks did because of austerity? Everyone can riot for any reason and quite frankly I've reached a point when I think it's more important to wonder why people riot rather than how bad the riot is - Sometimes just asking for rights isn't going to pull the trick. Egyptians rioted because of Mubarak, Ukranians did it and caused a Coup D'État, everyone can do it, blacks included, that doesn't change anything about stereotypes and only confirms that marginalization and despair lead to violent behaviour as expected.
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you

Haha, no. I told you not to bother responding if you didn't get the point, and judging from the rest of what you wrote, you still don't.
