Your top three rock/pop musicians

RE: Your top three rock/pop musicians
@Parker's Tan- I just introduced The Cars to my 16 year old last week. Yes they are pop, but completely underrated IMO.

@Alpha Male-Nilsson breaks my heart. I love him. Whatta voice. If we are leaving McCartney out, he is the next beautiful voice for me.

I also like the Red Hot Chili Peppers for funk fusion.

Someone mention Britney Spears and all that shit. I don't know if Kimbra is in that category, but she puts them to shame. Also a double whammy. This makes up for me not mentioning Jeff Buckley.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

The Cars are great.  I've only heard their Greatest Hits album, but the stuff on it is fantastic.  My Best Friend's Girl, You Might Think, and You Are The Girl are pretty top notch.  Plus, I'll always have a special place in my heart for Touch and Go - seriously, folks, if you haven't listened to it, the verses have the melody playing in 4/4 time and the rhythm in 5/4. It's a super effect.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Jimi's "Red House" is in my top ten songs to listen to.

I might as well go back over yonder, way back yonder 'cross the hill---
'Cause if my baby don't love me no more, I know her sister will

Also, If we're doing honorable mentions:
The Cure
Ben Folds (Five)
Amos Lee
Damien Rice
and (I can't help it) Boyz II Men

"That's alright, I still got my gee-tar. Look out now."

After my lady left, I buried my head in music. Blues really helped. I ended up getting "I still got my guitar" across my back.

If I had to pick one, Red House would be my favorite. Plus, it was his only recorded traditional 12bar blues tune.

Love it.

Fuckin' Amos Lee:

OOOH OOOOH OOOOOOH I also forgot:

Warren Zevon. He probably should've gone on my original list, at least as tied for 3rd.

Ok I tried real hard to come up with some actual pop artist favourites that are not extreme metal.

Well I have a weak spot for her

Steely Dan was mentioned, but the solo stuff is also pretty cool

And this reminds me of my youth, and damn what a great concert
