You have to remember, these rocket scientists tend to have very secret government jobs, so him pretending to be French as well is just part of his plan to confuse everyone.

You should never believe anything he says about himself, and just ask me if you want the real truth.  Of course, when speaking of rocketry and rocket-related subjects, he knows his stuff.

"Aren't you a little old to be believing in fairy tails?"

You are showing that you really had an American education with that.  It is "fairy tales," not "fairy tails."  Unless, of course, you mean the tails of fairies, like the tail of a fox or other animal that has a tail.

You are going to have to work harder to keep your real identity secret, so that you won't be bothered by so many women.

I imagine that there are those people who can't wrap their head around younger people being atheists.  I am sure that I will one day come across this situation seeing as how I am 21 but look extremely young.  They probably just think that you are too young to make such a controversial decision…which is ignorant.

But the point stands. It really is about them projecting their fears onto you. They figure you've thrown your life away, and you're too young to have done that!

I'm assuming you're in high school. Can anyone think of anything else that it would be okay to solicit to a high schooler door to door? You think it would be okay if I went to your door and talked to your kid about atheism?

So I came tired from school today, I sat down on my bed and just chilled whilst listening to some Tool. My parents were gone shopping so I was the only one home. I suddenly get a knock on my door so I opened it to find Jehova's witness. They guy started to speak about how amazing Jesus is. The bullsh*t was intensifying. So, I just interrupted him and told him that I don't believe in that crap and that I'm an atheist and I politely  asked him to leave. But no, instead he asks me this magnificent question "You! An atheist! That can't be you're too young to be one! Are you sure?". He left me speechless. With no response I just slammed the door.

Any thoughts on this?

Given that you were an atheist (that is, not a believer in anything, much less a believer in a god) when you were born, it seems a very strange attitude on his part.

I think lots of kids do wonder about the legitimacy of religion, before they get to an age where it's so drummed into them that they just follow the herd.

I was questioning it as a kid, I just couldn't accept the miracles of the Bible as fact. Nobody ever gave an explanation beyond "it's magic" either and I wasn't satisfied.

It insults the intelligence and the curiosity of children to say "too young to be an atheist".
