Damned Hindus

RE: Damned Hindus
You would think this would be a good lesson to people not to believe in supernatural, but no.

Quote:An Indian healer who claimed he could cure coronavirus by kissing people’s hands has died from the disease after infecting 20 of his followers.

The healer who is from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh kissed the hands of his devotees and told them that the kisses would rid their lives of problems, Times of India reported. He also claimed his ‘kiss-cure’ worked on coronavirus patients – despite the virus spreading through contagious droplets from the mouth or nose.

According to health department officials, the man contracted coronavirus himself and tested positive on 3 June. He died just a day later. The officials began contact tracing those who had been in contact with the healer and took 40 swab samples to identify any further cases.

Twenty of those swabs returned a positive result, including from seven members of the man’s family.

Swab collector Ruchika Chouhan warned people not to believed such dangerous claims amid a wave of new infections. The health administration identified 29 more people involved in similar coronavirus ‘exorcisms’ and has since put them in quarantine.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That people hurt themselves because they still believe in magic and supernatural instead of listening to science.

RE: Damned Hindus
It's Love jihad

Quote:Tanishq: Jewellery ad on interfaith couple withdrawn after outrage

Popular Indian jewellery brand Tanishq has withdrawn an advertisement featuring an interfaith couple after a right-wing backlash on social media.

It shows a baby shower organised for the Hindu bride by her Muslim in-laws.

Opponents of the advert say it promotes "love jihad", a term radical Hindu groups use to accuse Muslim men of converting Hindu women by marriage.

Rights groups say religious tolerance is under threat in India. Hindu-Muslim marriages have long attracted censure.

Sri Lanka health minister who drank sorcerer’s anti-Covid potion tests positive

The maker of the potion said he got the formula through his divine powers. He claimed the Hindu goddess Kaali appeared to him in a dream and gave him the recipe to save humanity from coronavirus.

Doctors have said there is no scientific basis for the syrup, reportedly containing honey and nutmeg, as a remedy for coronavirus.

Thousands of people formed long queues in the village of Bandara, north-east of the capital, Colombo, in December to obtain the syrup, just days after Ms Wanniarachchi and several other government officials publicly consumed it.

How much what the health minister paid for her part in this scam?
