If that ever happens to me, I'll know I've had a car accident and am in a coma in an ICU in hospital somewhere.
I would magine that even a partially functional mind has enough common sense to see through the illusion.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
