Question to Former Christians

RE: Question to Former Christians
Careful with any assumptions you make about people who don't carE about your bible. You are very unlikely to be right about people who are several thousand years ahead of what you imagine to be your god.

I think you are assuming that I ever thought my parents to be perfect.

No. It's because they take the time to think about the religion they grew up in, as opposed to letting their pastor do their thinking for them.

No

That is when a sinner gets in a fatal car wreck within a week after getting a chance to receive Christ and refusing, or rebuffing an altar call. I have heard evangelists tell those kind of accounts at revivals and camp meetings.

And what do you call it when a bus full of church fucks goes over a cliff?

( Personally I call it a good start.)

RE: Question to Former Christians
I remember watching this program about natural disasters and crap. I watched this one where two buses loaded with religious idiots were on their way to a bible camp thing. As one of the buses reached mid-way of a very shallow river, a huge flood came and washed them away. Many survived but some died.
Then there's planes crashing despite having a huge majority on board praying to god for help.

If there is a god, I don't think he's on the christian side somehow.Big Grin
Then again he doesn't appear to be on anyone's side. Probably because he doesn't exist. Tongue
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Perhaps we can get all evangelical fundies to be "raptured" away in this manner.

And when you check those accounts you discover they aren't actually true. Surprise, surprise.

I too have read the bible and consider it to be a complete load of bollocks.

God(according to the bible) is a genocidal lunatic and a bully.

Those accounts of spooky sunvisors I referred to aren't from the Bible, but from evangelists at revivals and camp meetings during the last fifty years or so.
